Mental Health Talk (FBK & FSSK)
The talk was delivered by Dr. Chen and involving students from two different faculty which is Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSK) and Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK).
Nowadays, mental health are one of the major problem occur in university students. Mental health can be defined as a state of emotional and psychological wellbeing in which individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities, function in society and meet the ordinary demand of everyday life. I believe the statement happens due to certain causes and effects to it.
During the talk, I taking notes about the factors. Factors that can cause stress are new environments, preparation for exams, staying away from your family, too much pressure during your studies, not having someone to talk to about your problems, difficulty keeping yourself back and lowering self-esteem. are doing. is. While this may sound ridiculous, it can lead to many mental illnesses or disorders such as depression, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, eating disorders, suicides and suicidal thoughts.
Therefore, if some of our friends do diagnose with mental health do advise them to get an early treatment from counsellor, psychiatrist and medical officer. At the same time, Dr. Chen do advise us to practice 5 Steps of managing emotions which is :

In a nutshell, we need to take full responsibility to take care of our own mental health in certain ways. Practicing the 5 steps to manage big emotions taught by Dr. Chen do help us to release our negative emotions.
SO, PEOPLE DO TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY BECAUSE IN CERTAIN SITUATION YOU CANNOT HANDLE IT WITH CARE AND THE SUICIDAL THOUGHT WILL COME TO YOUR MIND.
