Surveillance Capitalism describes a market driven process where the commodity for sale is your personal data, and the capture and production of this data relies on surveillance of the internet. This activity is often carried out by companies that provide us with free online services. For example, Facebook, Whats App, Google and others social media platforms. Futhermore , these companies collect our comments and behaviour as well to produce data that can be used for commercial purposes. For example, online shopping or purchases, searches, likes and dislikes.

How to regain our own data from misused by the authorities or companies?.

In my opinion, we should stop sharing our personal data in any media platform to avoid private data leaking and stolen by irresponsible people like scammers. Other than that, we can also avoid ourselves to answer any types of online forms nor survey, because that site does not secure our personal data.

In conclusion, to avoid any harm on our personal nor private data we should not carelessly share any of information regarding ourselves, family and others because it might be use in various activity that can lead us into crimes.
